Haunted White House Tour
This photograph was taken during a haunted Halloween tour of the White House on October 28, 2016. To celebrate the season and embrace the jovial mood of Halloween, historical interpreters playing the roles of former presidents, first ladies, and other notable Americans were featured on the tour, regaling visitors with old White House ghost stories. In this photograph, the hat used by Richard "Fritz" Klein, an interpreter of President Abraham Lincoln, is seen atop the State Dining Room table. Interpreters also played the roles of Theodore Roosevelt, Dolley Madison, Abigail Adams, Samuel Chase, and Maj. Archibald Butt.
